Culy takes title for Judan (10/28/2008)

BLUFFTON, Ohio - Four athletes from Judan Judo came away with first-place finishes at Sunday's Flag City Open.

Adriane Culy took the top spot in women's novice lightweight and was also the women's overall grand champion. Tasha Miller placed first in the 13-14-year-old middleweight division, Betsi Gagle was the champion in women's novice middleweight and Abby Muhlenkamp took first place in the girls 9-10-year-old lightweight division.

Conner Ray and Logan Drumm each finished in second place, and James Miller and Chiann Cupples added third-place efforts.

Miles 2nd in two

FORT WAYNE - Courtney Miles turned in a pair of second-place finishes for Gym City Gymnastics Oct. 19 at the Pumpkin Tumble.

Miles had her best score on the floor exercise, finishing as the runner-up with an 8.775. She was also second on the vault with an 8.55.

Riley Leavell took second place on the uneven bars with a 7.4 Halle Hill was third on the vault with an 8.95, and Korinna Schindler's top score was an 8.35 on the floor.[[In-content Ad]]
