DreamHaven picks winners


Award winners have been announced in the DreamHaven business pitch competition conducted Saturday at the John Jay Center.
Teams competed for $5,000 in prizes and had the opportunity to make their pitches before investors and successful entrepreneuers.
Winners were:
AeroCat, the high-end bicycle design and manufacturing firm led by Dave and Tim Poole of Portland.
•Cargo Furnishings, a new modular furniture system developed by Dave Burson.
•Victus De’ Aqua, an aquaponic self-sustaining food production system under development by Glynn Barber.
Judges for the competition were John Wechsler of DeveloperTown, Indianapolis; David Bolling, CEO of Wishoo.com, Indianapolis; and Ted Baker of Innovation Connector, Muncie.
“Listening to the judges questions and comments was a valuable learning experience for the presenters and for those of us in the audience no matter the amount of our business experience.,” said Dean Jetter, one of the DreamHaven organizers.
DreamHaven, which was led by Chris Fennig, included a series of seminar sessions on entrepreneurship during the fall.
DreamHaven declined to announce the order in which the winners placed.[[In-content Ad]]
