Dues to join law firm
Taking Note
Gail M. Dues, a rural Jay County resident, recently took an oath of office as an attorney-at-law before the chief justice of the Ohio Supreme Court in Columbus, Ohio. She has accepted a position as an associate attorney with a law firm in Greenville, Ohio.
Dues, who is also an attorney in Indiana, is a 1995 graduate of Jay County High School; a 1999 graduate of Butler University, Indianapolis; and a 2002 graduate of Valpraiso University School of Law, Valparaiso.
She is the daughter of Joe and Diane Siegrist, rural Jay County and is married to Joe Dues who is in sales at North Star Hardware and Implement Company, North Star, Ohio.
FORT FFA
The senior parlimentary procedure team of the Fort Recovery High School FFA placed first in the sub-district contest at New Bremen High School recently. They competed against five other chapters. Team members were Dale Brunswick, Beth Fortkamp, Brianna Hess, Kurt Kremer, Jackie Lennartz, Craig Link, Lisa Post, Shelly Schoenlein, Lindsay Sudhoff, Eric Weitzel, Stefanie Westgerdes and Mary Will.
The team went on to compete in the district competition at Piqua, Ohio, and placed fourth out of 36 teams.
Two junior teams also competed and received gold ratings. Team number one members were, Kyle Brockman, Cassi Billerman, Emily Crouch, David Fortkamp, Jennifer Guggenbiller, Bruce Schoen, Jordan Staugler, Greg Tobe and Scott Will. Team two members were, Joel Bey, Tana Bergman, Nick Grey, Melanie Lennartz, Jackie Link, Matt Lochtefeld, Kyle Neitfeld and Lori Osherholt.
