Dunkirk site set (4/10/04)
Business Roundup
The Dunkirk Industrial Development Corporation agreed this week to lease a six-to-seven acre site near the Saint-Gobain Container plant to a Tulsa, Okla., company.
Reflective Recycling LLC will supply cullet — recycled glass bits that can be reused to make new glass — to Saint-Gobain.
The site is located just north of Saint-Gobain’s warehouse and shipping docks and just south of the Mosey Manufacturing plant on Dunkirk’s northeast side.
Jay County Development Corporation executive director Robert Quadrozzi said it’s expected the company will employ two to three people to begin with, eventually employing up to five.
“This was more of a retention and cooperation effort than job-producing,” Quadrozzi said, noting that Dunkirk officials want to assure that Saint-Gobain’s local plant remains as competitive as possible.
