The Mississinewa Chapter of the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution recently chose Caitlin Elizabeth Dunn as Good Citizen of 2006. She is a senior at Jay County High School and the daughter of Dr. Tom and Rita Dunn, Portland.
Sara H. Garringer was chosen as runner up good citizen by NSDAR. She is also a senior and the daughter of Ralph and Nancy Garringer, Redkey.
The young ladies were chosen for demonstrating the qualities of dependability, service, leadership and patriotism.

Internet for Beginners classes will be held at Jay County Public Library on Thursday, Jan. 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 6, from 9 to 11 a.m. To register, call the library at (260) 726-7890.

The Jay County Public Library will begin an Adult Winter Reading Program on Jan. 15 for anyone 18 years and older. Pick up a book log and read material checked out from the library. Prizes will be given for each completed log.[[In-content Ad]]
