LYNN - The Randolph County schools couldn't stop the Eagles Thursday.
West Jay Middle School's wrestling team defeated both host Randolph Southern and the Winchester Golden Falcons on Valentine's day by scores of 55-15 and 48-42 respectively.
Cory Green (100) was on the mat for just a total of 48 seconds, scoring pins in 14 seconds against Randolph Southern and 34 against Winchester.
Lucas Weimer (145) won against Winchester in 30 seconds as the Eagles racked up eight pins. Other pins came from Raistlin Rice (85), Jesse Finnerty (90), Dustin Tighe (95), Chase Louck (105), Carrolton Fischer (110) and Sam Pitman (115).
Against Randolph Southern, Fischer scored his pin in just 32 seconds. Rice, Tighe, Wiemer and Zack Moser (120) also added pins against the Rebels. Louck won by a 5-3 decision, and Nathan Drumm (135) turned in an 11-2 major decision.[[In-content Ad]]
