The East Jay baseball team stayed perfect on the season with a 14-1 victory over Union City this week.
Michael Jobe led the offense with a home run and a double. He also struck out six batters in two innings of relief.
Justin Mann tossed the first three hitless innings for the win, striking out eight. He added four hits, including a triple.
Joshua Ludy had triple, and Nate Wood, Adam Garringer and Phillip Powell also had hits for East Jay.
Softball camp
Jay County High School will host a softball camp for first through eighth graders June 23 through 25.
First, second and third graders will camp from 8:30 to 10 a.m., with fourth, fifth and sixth graders from 10:30 a.m. to noon and seventh and eighth graders from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
The cost of the camp, which will be run by JCHS softball coach Jack Wood and his staff and players, is $25. The deadline to register is Monday, June 14.

Mayor’s golf outing
The inaugural Mayor’s Charity Golf Outing will be held Friday, July 16 at Portland Country Club.
It will be a four-person Florida Best-ball tournament with cash prizes for first-, second- and third-place teams. There will also be several contests, including longest drive and closest to the pin.
The entry fee is $200 per team.
