Elder abuse program set
Taking Note
Lifestream Services and the Jay County Sheriff’s Department will present a program on elder abuse on Thursday, Oct. 28, at Portland Place, 430 W. Lafayette St. in Portland.
The program “Elder Justice: Confronting Elder Abuse in America” is intended to raise awareness about elder abuse issues and help connect individuals with local resources.
The Elder Justice Act was signed into law in March of this year.

Facebook class
The Adams Public Library in Geneva will have an Intro to Facebook class on Tuesday, Oct. 26, from 10 a.m. to noon.
Participants will create an account and learn the basics of social networking.

Holiday Bazaar
The Swiss Heritage Society will hold its 32nd Annual Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 6, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at South Adams School in Berne.
