Enjoy dinner and a movie
Taking note
Adams Public Library in Geneva will have a free Dinner and a Movie night on Friday.
Baked spaghetti will be served at 6 p.m., followed by the movie "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" at 7 p.m.
The event will take place in the Porter Room. Reservations can be made by calling (260) 368-7270.
Begins tour
South Adams A Cappella Choir will begin its tour on April 11 by performing a free concert at Bethel Brethren Church in Berne.
The performance, which begins at 7 p.m., includes songs in many languages and genres.
Other performances will be April 18 at 6 p.m. at West Missionary Church in Berne; May 2 at 10 a.m. at Mt. Hope Church of the Nazarene in Berne; May 16 at 10 a.m. at Berne Evangelical Church and 6:30 p.m. at First Mennonite Church in Berne; May 23 at 10 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church in Berne and 6 p.m. at First Missionary Church in Berne.
Spring lessons
Jay County Extension will offer several classes at its Spring Leader Lesson Day on April 15 at Jay County Public Library.
"Great Getaways" will begin at 4 p.m. and will show how to plan a vacation on a budget.
"Sign Me Up" will begin at 5 p.m. and will share questions to ask before becoming a volunteer.
Jay County Extension Homemaker Clubs will serve sandwiches, salads and desserts at 6 p.m.
"Healthy Weighs: Eating Well, Living Well, Snacking Smart" will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will suggest ways to determine and maintain healthy weight through good nutrition and physical activity.

The Jay County High School Academic Team recently competed in the second Academic Competitions for Excellence Invitational sanctioned by the state. The topic was "An American Generation: 1964-1980," with 20 schools competing in the event.
JCHS Fine Arts team place 13th; Science placed eighth; Math place sixth and Social Studies placed fifth.
Academic Team members are seniors Tylor Smith, Mariah Clark, Dillon Corn, Cory Harris, Derek Hughes, Nathaniel Imel, Jacob Omstead, Sarah Shrack and Jake Sutton and underclassmen Megan Buscher, Ann Casey, Mitchel Dull, Audrey Franklin, Morton Garringer, Liza Haggenjos, Hannah Lugar, Ravi Patel and Matthew Shrack.[[In-content Ad]]
