Events announced at JCPL (01/07/08)

Family Fun Times will be held Thursday and Jan. 24, at 9:30 a.m. at the library for children and their caregivers.

There will be stories, toys, music and conversation shared. Registration is not necessary.

An After School Special, for children ages kindergarten through fifth grade, will be held Friday from 2:45 to 4 p.m. at JCPL.

The program will have a winter theme. There will be a snack provided, a story shared and a craft or two completed.

Registration is necessary by Thursday. For more information or to register, call the library at (260) 726-7890 or stop by at 315 N. Ship St. in Portland.

A children's reading and activity program "Walking in the Winter Readerland" will be held this month. An activity calendar may be picked up at the library by Jan. 21. When 15 activities have been completed, a prize will be awarded.

There will be no story times held at the library in January. They will resume in February.
