Taking Note
An After School Special will be held Friday from 2:45 to 4 p.m. at Jay County Public Library for kindergarten through fifth grade students.
There will be a snack, a story and a craft or two to complete. Reservations need to be made by Thursday by calling the library at (260) 726-7890 or stop by the 315 N. Ship St. location.

Family Fun Times will be held Thursday and April 17th at 9:30 a.m. for children and their caregivers. There will be stories, toys, music and conversation shared.

Story times will be on Monday, April 7, 14 and 21, at 10 a.m. and Tuesday, April 8, 15 and 22, at 1 p.m. for infants, children and an adult. Four or five books will be read aloud, followed by a craft.
Aging conference
The fifth annual Aging Well conference will be held May 15 at the Ball State University Alumni Center from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will feature guest speaker Gloria Gaither, an award winning singer, songwriter, author and inspirational speaker.
Sessions will include how to protect yourself from identity theft, community living options, advancements in joint reconstruction, caregiver support, improving balance and strength and pandemic preparation.
The cost is $15 and includes a continental breakfast, lunch, reception and all programs. For reservations, call LifeStream at (800) 589-1121 or mail to Aging Well, LifeStream Services, Inc., P.O. Box 308, Yorktown, IN 47396.
A program honoring Fifty Over 50 will follow.
