Davis Purdue Ag Center Field Day will be Tuesday, Aug. 21, at the site five miles north of Farmland on Ind. 1.
Registration will be from 8 to 8:30 a.m. The program begins at 8:30 a.m. and continues until 2 p.m.
Topics will include corn and soybean herbicide demonstration plots; hot topics in weed control; reading the soybean rust fungicide label; rust and other soybean topics; fertility considerations when growing corn after corn and wise contracting with the ethanol industry.
Lunch will be provided. Reservations are required by Aug. 19 by calling (765) 584-2271.

John Knipp will present a Fall Agriculture Outlook on Wednesday, Sept. 5, at noon at Jay County Fairgrounds 4-H Building.
Chris Hurt, from the agriculture economic department at Purdue University, will be the guest speaker. A meal will be served.

A Forest, Fish and Wildlife Management Field Day will be Saturday, Sept. 8, at the Davis Purdue Ag Center from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
Topics include CP33 buffers; old forest and exotic species; forest management; When should you harvest crop trees?; carbon credits: opportunities your fields and forest provide; wetland and grassland restoration; tree planting; managing deer and other animal damage to your forest and plantings and pond management and aquaculture opportunities.
The fee is $10 and lunch is included.
