Fair board searching

Taking Note

Members of the Jay County Fair Board are planning a new display for this year’s fair and are in need of the public’s help.
The display will feature items from past fairs. The first Jay County Fair was held in 1872 and fair board members are in search of items from that time up to 1985.
Possible items could include midway winnings, 4-H projects, awards, memorabilia, scrapbooks or pins, FFA jackets and projects, stockholder passes and tickets, clothing worn to the fair, ribbons, trophies and plaques, animal blankets, halters and show accessories and Women’s Building projects.
Items may be loaned or donated to the Jay County Fair Association. For more information or to donate items, call Debi Gillespie at Strohl Appliance at (260) 726-7136 or Cindy VanSkyock at Remember When at (260) 726-9436.
