Fiber Fest scheduled (02/15/08)

The fifth annual Fiber Fest and Spin-In will be held March 6, 7 and 8 at the Jay County Fairgrounds in Portland.
The show includes spinning, weaving, quilting, sheep shearing, dog herding demonstrations, rug hooking and basket weaving.
Thursday's events will be from 6 to 9 p.m., Friday's from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. (with school groups welcome from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.) and Saturday's from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Quilt show
The Swiss Days Quilt Show will be held in Berne on July 24, 25 and 26 at the South Adams High School.
Quilt blocks from the 1930's will be featured. Anyone wanting to submit blocks must have the 1930's yellow fabric featured on the block in a recognizable amount. Fat quarters of the yellow fabric are available from the Engine House Quilt Shop in Berne, by calling (260) 589-3060 or emailing [email protected].
