Fiber Fest & Spin-in to be held

The Jay County Visitor and Tourism Bureau will present the 10th annual Fiber Fest & Spin-in on March 8 and 9 at the Jay County Fairgrounds. The event is devoted to the fiber arts and will include classes, hands-on activities and demonstrations.

There will be a petting zoo, sheep shearing, storytelling, Border Collie demonstrations and a lamb and meat goat judging contest. Visitors may bring raw wool or other fibers in to be processed.  Events on Friday will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with a soup supper beginning at 4 p.m.
Saturday’s events will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with an FFA lamb judging contest from 9 a.m. to noon.  

Civic theatre   

Jay County Civic Theatre, Inc. will present Little Women, a Little Musical by Jay Richards at Arts Place in Portland. The play is based on Louisa May Alcott’s classic 1869 novel.
Show times are Thursday, Feb. 28, Friday, March 1 and Saturday, March 2  at 7 p.m. and Saturday  and Sunday, March 3 at 2 p.m.
