Flying Jets defeat South Adams (09/30/05)

MONROE — South Adams slipped below .500 in the Allen County Athletic Conference for the first time this season as it lost 25-18, 25-11, 25-20 to the Adams Central Flying Jets Thursday.

Renee Neuenschwander paced the Starfires with 11 kills, 11 digs and one ace. They are now 5-16 overall and 3-4 in the ACAC.

Alyssa Miller finished with 18 assists. Andrea Moser had four digs and one block, and Brooke Fox notched four kills.

Driver downs Eagles

DUNKIRK — Winchester Driver had enough gas left in the tank in the final game, outlasting the West Jay eighth grade team 25-24, 21-25, 15-10 Thursday. Driver also took the seventh grade contest, 25-18, 25-14.

Brittany Muhlenkamp powered the West Jay eighth graders (4-3) with team highs of 12 points, eight kills and five aces. She scored six points in each of the first two games.

Keri VanSkyock had eight points and four kills, and Brittney Watson also had four kills.

Shelbi Louck led the seventh grade team with four points, two aces and one assist.[[In-content Ad]]
