Food for fines set again (12/14/04)

Fort Recovery Public Library will have Food for Fines again this holiday season. The library will waive fines on overdue materials between Monday, Dec. 13, and Monday, Jan. 3, if you bring a contribution of nonperishable foods or paper products. Donations will be given to the local food pantry.

Also, Getting Ready for Christmas storytime for preschoolers will be held on Friday, Dec. 17, from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at the library. There will be another storytime for preschoolers on Tuesday, Dec. 21, at 6:30 p.m.

DEAN’S LIST

Megan C. Johnston, daughter of Ronald and JoEllen Johnston, 727 E. Walnut, Portland, has been named to the Ohio Northern University dean’s list for the fall quarter. She is a senior majoring in accounting.

SANTA VISIT

Santa will be visiting the Muncie Children’s Museum on Saturday, Dec. 18, and Sunday, Dec. 19, from 2 to 4 p.m.

The visit is free with admission to the museum and pictures can be taken with Santa for $3.

COMMENCEMENT

Ball State University will hold a commencement on Sunday, Dec. 19, at 1:15 p.m. in Worthen Arena. BSU president, JoAnn M. Gora will preside over the ceremony.[[In-content Ad]]
