Forge parent declared dividend

Allegheny Technologies Incorporated (ATI), the parent company of Portland Forge, declared a cash dividend this week of 18 cents per share of common stock. The dividend will be paid Dec. 29 to stockholders of record as of Dec. 20.
ATI is one of the largest producers of specialty metal products in the world, with revenues of approximately $5 billion over the past year. The company has 11,300 employees worldwide.

Auction scheduled
An auction of inventory and equipment for the former Ken Kunkle Chevrolet Cadillac Oldsmobile dealership in Portland has been set for Saturday, Jan. 14 at 9 a.m.
The auction, which has been set by the United States Bankruptcy Court Northern District of Indiana (Fort Wayne Division), will be held at the former dealership, 414 N. Meridian St., Portland.

Site given OK
The site of the former Decatur Casting plant has been cleared for use as a business location by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management.
Larry Macklin, executive director of Adams County Economic Development Corp., told Adams County Commissioners of the determination Monday and presented them with a letter from IDEM.
The commissioners took the letter under advisement pending review by commissioners’ attorney Mark Burry.
The county-owned land will have several deed restrictions that will prevent the land from being used for housing, daycare or agricultural uses.

Contest underway
Entries are now being accepted for the Electric Consumer’s 2013 student Calendar Art Contest. The deadline for entries is March 23.
The contest, in its 15th year, is open to students in kindergarten through 12th grade. Submissions should be original works of art reflective of a calendar month assigned to that grade level. Winners will be selected for the 2013 Cooperative Calendar of Student Art.”
