Former Portland resident to appear on game show (12/05/06)

Taking note

By By VIRGINIA CLINE-

A former Portland resident will soon appear on television's longest running game show.

Linda Hurst, formerly Linda May, a 1976 graduate of Jay County High School, will be making the legendary trip "down the aisle" on The Price Is Right on Thursday, Dec. 14.

Linda, her sister Lori Laux and friend Connie Lyons, both of Portland, waited in line for seven hours to be audience members of the popular game show hosted by Bob Barker. The three were on vacation in Los Angeles.

When Linda was chosen from the audience, Lori and Connie were also both on camera and Lori took the opportunity to blow Bob a kiss.

Linda is the daughter of Janet Privett of Portland. She lives in Scottsdale, Ariz. with her husband Duane and two children and is a registered nurse at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale.
