Fort baseball falls despite two-hitter (04/20/05)
FR baseball roundup
FORT RECOVERY — Todd Post pitched a gem to give the Indians a chance at victory Tuesday. But the errors and a lack of offense did them in.
The Fort Recovery baseball team committed five errors and had just two hits, wasting a two-hit gem from Post in a 1-0 loss to the Minster Wildcats.
Post went the distance, surrendering only a single unearned run in the second inning. He struck out four batters and walked just one.
The Tribe’s only hits were a double by Dusty Tobe and a single from Post.
Fort Recovery (8-8) also lost to Lima Bath 9-3 Monday night. Tobe had three hits in the game, and Matt Hein added two. Greg Faller took the loss, giving up four runs — all unearned — in three innings.
Minster tops JV
