Fort museum hosting author

Speaker Series 2012 continues Sunday at the Fort Recovery State Museum.
Frank Kuron, author of “Thus Fell Tecumseh,” will speak at 1 and 3 p.m. at the museum at 1 Fort Site St.
The book explores the mystery of who killed Tucumseh, leader of the Shawnees, during the War of 1812.
Library news
Jay County Public Library, 315 N. Ship St. in Portland, will host a “Back to School” program for parents on Monday, Aug. 13, from 8 to 10 a.m.
Parents, and preschool age children, are invited to the children’s area of the library for coffee, juice, snacks and conversation with other parents.
Parenting and school-related materials will be on display and youth services librarian Linda Shreve will share what resources are available for parents at the library.

Also a “Cool Couponing” class will be on Aug. 13 at 6 p.m. Trade tips and tricks with other coupon clippers.
