Fort Recovery Alumni awards scholarships
Taking Note
The Fort Recovery Alumni Association presented 12 scholarships at its annual banquet on June 16.
Jill Post received the Armella J. Kemper Education Scholarship for $1,000.
Julie and Jared Kahlig each received the Richard and Norvita Hilbold Scholarship for $1,000.
Adam Pohl received the Dr. Meiring - Zitter Scholarship for $500.
Olivia Schwieterman received the Richard and Norvita Hilbold Scholarship for $600.
Gina Braun, David Tobe and Ericka Lennartz each received the Fort Recovery Alumni Association Scholarship – Education for $600.
Kendra Stammen, Kristin Overman, Abby Backs and Krissa Will each received the Fort Recovery Alumni Association Scholarship — Nursing for $600.
Also at the banquet, Jerry Kaup was presented with the Distinguished Alumni Award for his contribution to society through the years after graduating from Fort Recovery High School.
Jerry and his wife Laurie own Kaup Pharmacy in Fort Recovery.
Arts nominations
The Indiana Coalition for the Arts Foundation is seeking nominations for Community Arts Leadership Awards. Awards will be given in four categories — arts professional, arts educator, arts advocate and volunteer board member/arts leader.
Nomination forms are available at www.artsland.org, then click on “nomination forms” under Latest News. The deadline to nominate an arts leader is Friday, July 20. Awards will be presented at a ceremony in Indianapolis on Nov. 1. [[In-content Ad]]
