Fort Recovery blasts the Cardinals

Fort Recovery roundup

NEW BREMEN, Ohio — Just in case anyone doubted their sectional victory, the Indians proved their point again.
Fort Recovery High School’s baseball team racked up seven runs in the first two innings against the New Bremen Cardinals on Tuesday and rolled to a 10-1 victory.
The Tribe had topped New Bremen 3-2 in the opening round of the Division IV sectional tournament on Saturday.
Blake Boughman drove in five runs with a pair of hits for the Indians (15-12, 2-7 Midwest Athletic Conference), who will play third-ranked St. Henry at 7 p.m. tonight for the sectional championship at Minster. Chad Schroer added a double, two singles, two runs and two RBIs, and Gabe Riegle had two hits and two runs.
Alex Thien earned the win as the only run against him was unearned. He went the distance, striking out four batters.
