Fort Recovery to compete
Taking Note
Students from the Fort Recovery school district will compete in the Mercer County Spelling Bee next month.
The contest will be Feb. 1 at 7 p.m. at Wright State University-Lake Campus in the James F. Dicke Hall.
Ohio Has Talent
Two Fort Recovery resident will compete in the Ohio Has Talent variety show to be held Feb. 6 at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center in Van Wert, Ohio.
Janet Vogel has taken piano lessons for six years and voice lessons for four years and Emily Werling has received awards in vocal performance.

Dean's list
Billy Wellman, a graduate of Jay County High School, has made the dean's list for the fall 2009 semester at Ball State University.
He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rick Wellman, Portland.[[In-content Ad]]
