Foundation taking applications (12/11/07)

The Portland Foundation is accepting applications for its winter 2008 grant cycle for tax exempt organizations operating or proposing to operate programs for the benefit of Jay County residents.
In the past, the foundation has funded projects in community development, arts and culture, health and human services and youth and education.
Applications are available at The Portland Foundation office at 112 E. Main St., Portland, by calling (260) 726-4260 or online at www.portlandfoundation.org.
Completed applications must be received by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 9.

Library hours
Pennville-Penn Township Public Library will be closed Dec. 25, 26, 27, 29 and Jan. 1 and re-open Jan. 2, 2008.
Regular library hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.[[In-content Ad]]
