Four earn All-MAC honors

The Fort Recovery High School girls basketball team had four players earn all-conference honors.
Tori Lennartz was named to the first-team All-Midwest Athletic Conference for the second year in a row. The junior averaged more than 14 points and six rebounds per game as the Indians finished the season 9-11 (1-8 MAC).
Fellow junior Kara Jutte, who averaged more than nine points per game, was named to the All-MAC second team.
Caley Schoenherr, a 5-foot, 4-inch junior, earned honorable mention honors, averaging 5.2 points and 3.5 rebounds per game.
Kendra Siefring was also selected to the honorable mention team. She was one of five sophomores to earn all-conference honors, and the 6-foot, 1-inch forward led the team in rebounds (6.5 per game) while scoring 8.4 points per game.
Fort Recovery opens sectional play tonight against St. Henry at 7 p.m. in Coldwater. The Redskins beat the Indians, 51-40, in the season finale Thursday.
Stone sets school record
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — Cori Stone broke her own school record Saturday.
The sophomore placed 12th in the 100-yard butterfly in one minute, 4.99 seconds, at the Northwest Ohio District Division II Swimming and Diving meet at Bowling Green State University. The time was two seconds faster than her seed time.
She finished 19th in the 200 freestyle in 2:06.96, nearly 3.5 seconds ahead of her seed time. It was the fastest time she had swam in the event all season.[[In-content Ad]]
