FR 8th graders stay perfect

ANSONIA, Ohio — The Indians are still perfect.
Fort Recovery Middle School’s eighth grade boys basketball team kept its undefeated record in tact with a 45-20 win Monday over the Ansonia Tigers.
The seventh grade team also dominated Ansonia for a 46-10 victory.
Jackson Hobbs scored 15 points to lead the FRMS eighth graders, who are now 3-0. Kyle Schroer joined him in double figures with 12 points.
Caleb Martin had 10 points for the Indian seventh grade team, which improved to 2-1. Jason Roessner added eight points.
EJ 7th dominates
East Jay’s seventh grade boys basketball team fell just short of a shutout Monday in a 34-2 victory over the visiting Blackford Bruins. The eighth grade team suffered a 38-37 defeat.
Zach Chaney paced the seventh grade Chiefs with nine points as they pushed their record to 4-2. Ryan Burkett chipped in seven points.
Bryce Hensley totaled 13 points for the EJMS eighth graders (2-6). Kyler Carvel added nine points.

DUNKIRK — The East Jay eighth grade girls basketball team defeated host West Jay 36-4 on Monday.
Sydney Robbins finished with 13 points to power the Chiefs, and Lyla Muhlenkamp scored 10 points.[[In-content Ad]]
