FR freshmen fall to St. John's

FORT RECOVERY — After falling behind early, the Fort Recovery High School freshman boys basketball team couldn’t recover Monday in a 36-28 loss to the St. John’s Blue Jays.
Alex Kaiser had 10 points and four rebounds for the Indians (5-8), who fell behind 12-4 in the opening quarter. Kent Retz finished with six points.

7th grade season ends
FORT RECOVERY — The season for the Fort Recovery Middle School seventh grade girls basketball team came to a close Monday in the semifinal round of the Midwest Athletic Conference tournament with a 29-22 loss to the New Knoxville Rangers.
Mikayla Post and Caitlyn Huelskamp each scored six points for the Indians. Kendra Siefring and Trisha Thien each added four points.
New Knoxville’s Claire Gabel finished with a game-high 15 points.

Bantz wins title
Bryce Bantz picked up the lone championship for the West Jay Middle School wrestling team Saturday as it placed sixth at the East Jay Invitational.
Bantz won all of his three matches to take the crown in the 125-pound weight class. Brandon Hollingsworth (175) went 2-1 and was the runner-up, and Chad Homan (160) also went 2-1 to take third place.[[In-content Ad]]
