FORT RECOVERY — The Indians just got better as the game went on.
Fort Recovery High School’s junior varsity girls basketball team dominated the final three quarters Monday for a 57-33 victory over the St. Henry Redskins.
Jackie Fullenkamp shot 8-of-10 from the field for 16 points to lead the Indians, who outscored St. Henry by six in the second quarter, eight in the third and nine in the fourth. She also grabbed six rebounds.
Tori Lennartz added 14 points, a game-high eight rebounds, six steals and four assists. After hitting for just 37 percent from the field in the first half, the Tribe shot 15-of-27 (56 percent) in the second.
Kenisa Post led St. Henry with 13 points, and Taylor Koesters added 10.

Freshman boys fall
Fort Recovery’s freshman boys basketball team couldn’t quite keep up with the visiting New Bremen Cardinals Monday in a 39-34 defeat.
Cole Hull finished with 14 points for the Tribe (1-1), which led by one at the half. Mitch Stammen also reached double figures with 10 points.

Freshman girls lose
FORT LORAMIE, Ohio — Fort Recovery struggled in the opening half en route to a 28-13 loss Monday to the Fort Loramie Redskins.
Mikayla Grover totaled seven points for the Indians (0-3), who went without a field goal in the first half. Cassidy Rammel added three points.[[In-content Ad]]
