COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Indians kept their spot in the top 10.
Fort Recovery finished ninth in the Associated Press Division IV high school girls basketball poll Tuesday, despite coming off of its first back-to-back losses in nearly two years.
The Tribe (10-3) earned 44 poll points to finish one ahead of No. 10 Arlington (11-1) and 19 behind No. 8 Maplewood (11-2).
FRHS, which lost Thursday to Minster and Saturday to Fort Loramie, will try to get back on track Thursday when it hosts New Knoxville. The Indians remained the only Midwest Athletic Conference team in the top 10 as Marion Local, New Knoxville and Minster finished 11th, 15th and 16 respectively in the Division IV voting.

DeLong wins two
MUNCIE — Kara DeLong and Cady Farlow each picked up two wins Tuesday, but the South Adams swim teams both fell to the host Delta Eagles.
The Starfire girls fell short in a 98-82 defeat, and the boys team lost 111-61.
DeLong dominated both of her events, taking the 100-yard backstroke by nearly eight seconds in 1 minute, 7.39 seconds and the 200 freestyle by almost 15 seconds in 2:06.26. Farlow took the 100 breaststroke by more than eight seconds in 1:24.24, and also took first place at 58.52 in the 100 freestyle.
DeLong and Farlow also teamed with Michaela Rupp and Ellie Kaverman to take the 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay in 2:07.51 and 1:53.57 respectively.
Mitchel Kaverman won the 100 breaststroke for the SAHS boys in 1:11.29, and Cory Sank was first in the 500 freestyle in 5:48.41.

Tribe seventh rolls
FORT RECOVERY — The Fort Recovery Middle School seventh grade girls basketball team rolled to a 35-22 victory Tuesday over the New Knoxville Rangers.
The eighth grade Indians fell, 29-26.
Whitney Will tallied 10 points as the FRMS seventh grade squad rolled to its 13-point win. Jocie Kaiser added nine points.
Kendra Siefring finished with seven points to lead the eighth graders. Julie Wendel followed with three.[[In-content Ad]]
