Free concerts scheduled

Taking note

The Classics will perform on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Webster-Depot Park in Dunkirk.
The band, from Ohio, will sing 50’s and 60’s music. The evening is sponsored by Cliff and Midge Green and will be hosted by the Green family.
Concessions will be available at 6 p.m.

Geneva jam
A Bluegrass Jam will be held Sunday at the Limberlost State Historic Site in Geneva from 2 to 4 p.m.
Musicians are invited to come and perform solo or jam with others.
Visitors may bring a lawn chair. The cabin and gift shop will also be open.
Other jams will be held Sunday, Aug. 15, and Sunday, Sept. 19.
Photo contest

The Jay County Visitor and Tourism Bureau is sponsoring a photo contest to capture photos of all Jay County has to offer.
Photos may feature the great outdoors, Jay County at night, arts and culture, any Jay County town, Salamonia or Wabash Rivers, neighborhoods and architecture, family fun, recreation and adventure, the seasons and an open category.
Photographs must be submitted by Aug. 31 at www.visitjaycounty.com. The winner will receive $100 and $25 honorable mentions will be given.
The contest is sponsored by Walgreens and CVS Pharmacy.
   
Neurological Center
The Courage to Live Foundation will have a Fun Walk on Sunday at Wendelin Sports Club to benefit the Center for Neurological Development in Burkettsville, Ohio. The center offers free therapy for brain and spinal cord injuries.
Registration for the Fun Walk  will begin at 10 a.m.  at the club, located on Erastus Durbin Road, south of Ohio 119 and west of St. Henry, Ohio.
