Stephen Girod

Stephen U. Girod, an infant, 9658 South 50 East, Geneva, died Thursday at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born in Adams County to Nathan E.R. and MaryAnn S. Girod, he was a member of the Old Order Amish.
Surviving besides his parents are four brothers, Samuel U., Reuben U., Nathan U. and William U. Girod, all of Geneva; three sisters, Miriam U., Ruth U. and Rose U. Girod, all of Geneva; grandparents, Samuel E. and Salome Girod, Geneva, and Reuben and Emma Girod, Berne; great-grandparents, Enos S. Girod, Monroe, Emma Girod, Berne, and MaryAnn Schwartz, Geneva.
Services are Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Girod home, 9658 South 50 East, Geneva, with Bishop David Girod officiating. Burial will be in Bunker Hill Cemetery in Geneva.
Visitation is today until 9 p.m. at the Girod home.
Downing and Glancy Funeral Home in Geneva is in charge of the arrangements.

Troy Edward Rose, 91, 3591 East 750 North, Ridgeville, died Thursday at Darla Fields Home Care.
Born in Scranton, Ky. to Louie and Corda (Fields) Rose, he was preceded in death by wives Agnes Rose and Hazel (Landers) Rose.
A veteran of the United States Army, he was a self-employed contractor, farmer and trader.
Survivors include three sons, Troy Rose (wife: Kimberly), Union City, Dennis Ray Rose (wife: Donna), Lakeland, Fla., and Don E. Rose (wife: Carol), Redkey; four sisters, Carrie Muncie, Yvonne Mylander (husband: Paul), Kathrin Schreyer (husband: Lowel), and Pauline Griggs; two brothers, Neri V. Rose (wife: Georgia), Louisville, Ky., and Windford Rose; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services are Sunday at 3 p.m. at MJS Mortuaries Redkey Chapel with Richard Collins officiating. Private burial will be held at Union Cemetery in Eaton, with military graveside services conducted by Randolph County Veterans.
Visitation is Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
