Fred Wehrly

Services for Fred K. Wehrly, 64, 8883 East 800 South, Union City, will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home, Portland, with Pastor Mark Strietelmeier presiding. Burial will follow in the Salamonia Cemetery. He was a Salamonia native.

Wehrly died Wednesday in the Parkview Hospital, Ft. Wayne.

Born on March 25, 1939, to Carl and Hazel (Wallace) Wehrly in Salamonia, he married Karen Pease on June 25, 1960. She survives.

A former manager of Cromer Brothers in Portland, he owned and operated Fisher Broadway Candy Co. in Union City. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Portland, Portland Elks Club, Portland Morning Optimist Club and the Union City Chamber of Commerce.

Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Tracy (Terri) Williamson, Lucerne, Mrs. Ben (Kim) Williams, Richland, Wash., and Mrs. Steve (Debbie) Howell, Portland; two brothers, Tom and Jim Werhly, both of California; three sisters, Helen Kinchelow and Rose Jellison, both of California, and Carol Wehrly, Minnesota; and six grandchildren.

Visitation is Saturday from 2 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church or the Pregnancy Care Center, Portland, Morning Optimist Youth Sports Activities Fund.

Maude Brown

Maude Emily Brown, 83, AmeriCare Living Center, Portland, died Thursday morning in the Jay County Hospital.

Born in Jay County on Sept. 26, 1920, to Clarence and Rebecca (Lykins) Brown, she was a retired foreman at United Technology.

She was a member of the Portland Eagles Lodge.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Services are Monday at 3 p.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home, Portland, with Pastor Mark Strietelmeier officiating. Burial will follow in Green Park Cemetery.

Visitation is Monday from 1 to 3 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Audrey Crabtree

Services for Audrey B. Crabtree, 75, 402 N. First St., Fort Recovery, who died Wednesday morning at her residence, are Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Brockman and Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery with the Rev. Verl Ballmer.

Burial will follow in Springhill Cemetery, Fort Recovery.

Born to Benjamin and Clarice (Martin) Lasley on Aug. 11, 1928, in Columbus, Ohio, she married Morris Crabtree on Feb. 5, 1945 in Portland. He died on July 5, 1994.

She was a member of Fort Recovery United Methodist Church, Fort Recovery.

Surviving are one daughter, Paula Howard, Monroe, Mich.; two sons, Mark Crabtree, Wapakoneta, Ohio, and Duane Crabtree, Fort Recovery; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.

Visitation is Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until services begin at Brockman and Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Fort Recovery United Methodist Church.

Dwight Myers Jr.

Dwight J. Myers Jr., 75, Monroe, died Thursday morning at his residence. He was the relative of local residents.

Born in Adams County on Oct. 7, 1928, to Walter D. and Joy D. (Beam) Myers, he was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.

He was married Nov. 24, 1965 to Carol L. Sparks, who survives.

He was a guard at Phelp’s Dodge in Fort Wayne and was a member of the American Legion Post 43, Decatur, and the V.F.W., Decatur.

Other survivors include, one son; two daughters; a sister; and seven grandchildren.

Services are Saturday at 4 p.m. at Haggard and Sefton Funeral Home, Decatur, with the Rev. Brian Wikoff officiating. Military rites will be given by the American Legion Post 43.

Visitation is Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Southern Care Hospice, Fort Wayne.

Donald Fullenkamp

Donald J. Fullenkamp, 81, St. Henry, Ohio, died early Wednesday morning at Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio.

He was a Fort Recovery native.

Born to Jacob and Gertrude (King) Fullenkamp on Feb. 15, 1922, in Fort Recovery, he served in the South Pacific with the U.S. Army during World War II.

He married Jeanette Moeller on Oct. 23, 1948. She survives.

An employee of Avco New Idea, Coldwater, Ohio, he was a member of the St. Henry Catholic Church, Fort Recovery American Legion, Eldora Booster Club and the Eldora Big E Club.

Other survivors include two sons, Gary Fullenkamp, Rockford, Ohio, and Kevin Fullenkamp, St. Henry, Ohio; one brother, Werner Fullenkamp, Coldwater, Ohio; two sisters, Dolores Fullenkamp and Mrs. John (Cleopha) Bihn, both of Fort Recovery; four grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Henry Catholic Church, St. Henry, with the Rev. Larry Wyen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with the American Legion conducting military rites.

Visitation is Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.

Mary Schulte

Services were held today for Mary Faye Schulte, 77, Celina, Ohio, who died late Friday, Dec. 12, at her residence. She was the mother of a Fort Recovery resident.

Burial took place in North Grove Cemetery, Celina.

Born in Man, W. Va., to Adam and Llona (Ferguson) Maynard on June 6, 1926, she married Linzie Frazier on Feb. 23, 1949, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sons; two daughters, including Mrs. Lloyd (Christi) Flynn, Fort Recovery; one sister; 18 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to State of the Heart Hospice and Home Health Care, Mercer County.
