Sentenced

Jennifer L. Ward, 25, Dunkirk, battery resulting in bodily injury, a class A misdemeanor - Sentenced Jan. 12 to one year in the Jay County Jail, with all but 90 days suspended and 32 days credit for time served.

She was fined $50 and ordered to pay $164 in court costs.

The amount of restitution that she will pay to Penny Gregory for medical bills will be determined by the probation department.

She was placed on probation for 10 months.

Steven L. Bragg Jr., 28, Portland, driving while intoxicated, a class C misdemeanor - Sentenced Jan. 6 to 60 days in the Jay County Jail, with all but two days suspended and two days credit for time served.

He was ordered to pay a $100 fine, $164.50 in court costs, a $200 alcohol and drug countermeasures fee and a $400 Jay Superior Court Substance Abuse Program fee.

He was placed on probation for six months and his driver's license was suspended for 90 days.

Charges of driving a vehicle with a schedule I or II controlled substance or its metabolite in the body was dismissed.

Nicholas B. Griggs, 20, Kokomo, driving while intoxicated, a class C misdemeanor - Sentenced Jan. 8 to 60 days in the Jay County Jail, with all suspended.

He was fined $100, ordered to pay $164.50 in court costs, a $200 alcohol and drug countermeasures fee and a $400 Jay Superior Court Substance Abuse Program fee.

He was placed on probation for six months and his driver's license was suspended for 90 days.

A charge of driving a vehicle with an alcohol concentration equivalent of .08 or more was dismissed.

Steven A. Taylor, 22, Redkey, driving while license suspended, a class A misdemeanor - Sentenced Jan. 6 to one year in the Jay County Jail, with all but eight days suspended.

He was fined $475 and ordered to pay $164.50 in court costs. He was placed on probation for nine months and his driver's license was suspended for 90 days.

If he gets his driver's license reinstated, $375 of the $475 fine will be suspended.

Cody B. Edwards, 24, Winchester, driving while intoxicated, a class C misdemeanor - Sentenced Jan. 6 to 60 days in the Jay County Jail, with all but two days suspended and two days credit for time served.

He was fined $100 and ordered to pay $164.50 in court costs, a $200 alcohol and drug countermeasures fee and a $400 Jay Superior Court Substance Abuse Program fee.

He was placed on probation for one year and his driver's license was suspended for 90 days.

A charge of driving with an alcohol concentration equivalent of .15 or more was dismissed.

Jeffrey S. English, 41, Muncie, driving a vehicle with an alcohol concentration equivalent of .08 or more, a class C misdemeanor - Sentenced Jan. 6 to 60 days in the Jay County Jail, with all but two days suspended and two days credit for time served.

He was fined $100 and ordered to pay $164.50 in court costs, a $200 alcohol and drug countermeasures fee and a $400 Jay Superior Court Substance Abuse Program fee. He was placed on probation for one year and his driver's license was suspended for 90 days.

A charge of driving while intoxicated was dismissed.
