On the second count he was sentenced to two years in the Indiana Department of Correction, with credit for 32 days time served, and assessed costs of $164.50.

A sentencing date was set for a Portland man who pleaded guilty to two felony charges stemming from a burglary.

Sentencing was set for July 15.
Murphy burglarized a rural Portland home in April.

A Muncie man was sentenced to an extra year in prison for violating the terms of his probation.
Alberto J. Rivera, 27, was sentenced in Jay Circuit Court to one year in the Indiana Department of Correction for violating the terms of his probation. The sentence will be served consecutively with any sentences imposed in Delaware County.
Rivera was arrested and charged with two crimes in Delaware County in January 2010 while on probation.

A bond reduction requested by a Geneva man was denied in Jay Circuit Court June 13.
The court denied the request by Zackary Galloway, 19. His bond will remain at $15,000.
