Meds stolen
A Portland man reported that someone stole some medication from him.
Steven Craig, 230 E. Elder St., told police that someone stole medication from his home. He reported the theft at 8:07 p.m.

Meeting set
The Redkey Town Council will meet in special session Monday, April 2, to discuss possible shortfalls in the 2012 budget. The meeting will be at the former town hall, 20 S. Ash St.

Deer hit
A Redkey man hit a deer with his car in Wayne Township Thursday morning.
Donald J. Chandler, 37, 113 E. High St., was driving east on county road 100 North just west of U.S. 27 when he struck a deer on the roadway.
Damage of $1,000 to $2,500 was caused to his 2001 Honda Civic in the 5:55 a.m. accident.

Items stolen

A rural Redkey woman reported that several items were stolen from her home.
Paulette Humphrey, 8370 W. 600 South, reported that someone kicked in the east door of her home and that several items were taken. Those items include a 42-inch TV, lead and pewter figurines, DVDs, gold and silver tableware and prescription medications.
She reported the theft at 8:41 a.m. Thursday.

Tools taken
An employee of Pennville Sand and Gravel reported that someone broke into a tool shed and stole several tools.
Jim Heitkamp told police that between 7 p.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday, someone pried a door of the tool shed open. Stolen items included a drill, two wrench sets, a nut-driver set, a screwdriver set, three socket sets, two tap and die sets, three die grinders and two allen wrench sets.
He reported the burglary at 10:41 a.m. Thursday.

Change taken
A rural Portland man had change stolen from his car.
Andy Wendel, 2032 S. Lutes Drive, told police that someone entered his car and took change while it was parked in his driveway overnight. He reported the theft at 3:36 p.m. Thursday.[[In-content Ad]]
