Janet Droesch
Janet A. Droesch, 56, Coldwater, Ohio, died Thursday afternoon at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home in Coldwater.
She had worked as an LPN at Jay County Hospital since 1966.
A native of Celina, she was married in 1969 in Sharpsburg, Ohio, to Eugene S. Droesch, who survives.
Mrs. Droesch was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater and was a former board member of the St. Peter Neurological Center.
Surviving besides her husband are one brother and two sisters.
Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. (Ohio time) at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater with Father Ronald Wilker officiating. Burial will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery there.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday.
Memorials may be made to the State of the Heart Hospice and Home Health, or St. Peter Neurological Center.
Thomas Morehouse
Thomas Aden Morehouse, 69, Hartford City, father of a Dunkirk resident, died in the emergency room at Blackford Community Hospital shortly after noon Wednesday.
A native of Falcon, Mo., he was the former owner and operator of Tom’s Service Station in Hartford City. He was married in 1963 in Hartford City to Anna June Elliott, who died Sept. 30.
Surviving are four daughters; two sons, including Ronald D. Morehouse, Dunkirk; 26 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services are set for 2 p.m. Monday in the Keplinger Funeral Home, Hartford City, with the Rev. David Waters officiating. Burial will be Gardens of Memory north of Muncie.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until time of services Monday.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association Midwest Affiliate, or to the family.
Mildred Wirsching
Mildred L. Wirsching, 94, Port Orange, Fla., mother of a former Portland resident, died Tuesday in Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Fla.
Mrs. Wirsching was a resident of Ormond Beach for many years before recently moving to Port Orange.
A native of Newark, N.J., she was married for 65 years to Robert E. Wirsching who died in 1998.
Surviving are one son; one daughter, Mrs. Dale E. (Ruth) Ann Hunt, West Carrollton, Ohio, a former resident of Portland; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held today in the Chapel of Volusia Memorial Funeral Home in Ormond Beach. Burial was in Volusia Memorial Park.
