Fund set to honor 4-H participant

The Indiana 4-H Foundation has established a Gosney Memorial Fund in memory of Charles (Chuck) Gosney, a state 4-H extension specialist for 32 years who died Jan. 11.
A former 4-H participant, he was active in Junior Leaders, Tractor Operators, State 4-H Band and Chorus, demonstrations and judging, and electric and woodworking.
He supervised the State Fair Exhibit Hall and Junior Leader Conferences for many years, as well as directing the awards recognitions programs at Roundups. He was leader of Indiana’s delegations to 4-H Congress for nearly 20 years.
Contributions may be made to the Gosney Memorial Fund, by mailing to 225 South East St., Suite 760 Indianapolis, IN 46202.

Kala N. Champ, Pennville, was recently named to the fall semester dean’s list at Vincennes University, Vincennes. Jennifer K. Dirksen, Portland, was named to the same dean’s list.
ACT TEST
Registration deadline for the ACT Assessment test for college-bound students is Friday, Feb. 27. The test will be given on Saturday, April 3.
The test fee is $26. A late registration fee will be added for late registrations. Late registration postmark deadline is March 12.

SEMINAR
A Traumatized Child Seminar will be hosted by Cardinal Health System, Inc., on Saturday, Feb. 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. at Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie.
The seminar’s goal is to explore the range of child abuse, identify symptoms to aid in intervention, clarify variations in sexual development, and to explain the legal system’s process in addressing child abuse.
