Game day planned at Adams Public Library

Adams Public Library in Geneva will have a Game Day on Monday, Jan. 18, from 1 to 4 p.m. for kids in kindergarten through eighth grade.

There will be Wii games, puzzles, cards and board games and a snack offered.

Minnetrista events

Minnetrista in Muncie will have several upcoming events.

PBS Club will meet the third Wednesday of each month from 2 until 4 p.m. to view an educational program from WIPB and then have a group discussion.

"American Experience: The Crash of '29" will be the topic for the Wednesday, Jan. 20, meeting and "American Experience: John and Abigail Adams" will be the topic for the Wednesday, Feb. 17, meeting.

"Enchanted Art" will be held Saturday, Jan. 23, from noon until 4 p.m. Participants will watch artists work with a variety of media, create their own art to take home and help work on a mobile to hang in Minnetrista's lobby. The cost is $5.

"Cold Combing Glass Jewelry" will be held Friday, Feb. 5, from 5:30 until 8:30 p.m. Participants will learn glass cutting, cold combing and fusing techniques and take home a jewelry pendant. The cost is $25 for non-members.

"Snowed In," an indoors overnight at Minnetrista will begin Friday, Feb. 27, at 7 p.m. and end Saturday, Feb. 27, at 10 a.m. for adults and children ages 6 to 9.

Pretend you're are snowed in for the night. A snack will be provided Friday evening and breakfast will be provided Saturday morning. The registration deadline is Feb. 22.

"Dr. Entomo's Palace of Exotic Wonders," an exploration of bugs, will be on display through Jan. 31.

"Enchanted Museum: Exploring the Science of Art" will be on display through Feb. 7. Explore the connections between art, science, math and ancient history.

"Eyes on Earth" will be on display from Jan. 30 through May 9. Understand how the Earth is observed from space.

"Disease detectives" will be on display Feb. 13 through May 30. Explore the world of infectious diseases.

The 20th Minnetrista Annual "Juried Art Show and Sale" will be Feb. 20 through May 2.

Farmers Markets will be Jan. 16 and Feb 20 from 9 a.m. until noon inside the Orchard Shop at Minnetrista.
