Garinger to hold Muncie workshop (8/23/05)

Portland native and author Alan Garinger will lead a two day workshop at Muncie Children’s Museum.
The “Inventive Thinking” workshop based on Garinger’s book “Jeremiah Stokely Inventor” will be held Friday, Sept. 16, and Friday, Sept. 23, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Some of the interactive activites of the workshop will include making Jeremiah’s burglar alarm work and racing Jeremiah’s air car.
To register for this event, call the museum at (765) 286-1660. The museum is located at 515 S. High St. in downtown Muncie.
Earns degrees
Jason Knapke, Portland, received a bachelor’s degree this summer in organizational leadership and supervision from Indiana University-Purdue University in Fort Wayne.
These students received degrees recently from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion.
Kevin K. Barcus, Redkey, received a bachelor’s degree in management; Benjamin James Capshaw, Bryant, received a bachelor’s degree in Christian ministries; and Kris S. Faus, Dunkirk, received a degree in business.
Dean’s list
Ball State University recently named students to the 2005 summer semester dean’s list.
From Portland are Robin Bisel, Nicole Brinkerhoff, Austin Chapman, Kyle Homan, Sara Jonas, William Saxman and Jennifer Wolsfelt.
From Saratoga is Kimberly Henson.
Free trees
