GED test will change in 2014
Taking note
The current version of the General Educational Developmental test, known as the 2002Series GED test, will expire at the end of 2013.
Students who have taken the current test, but have not passed all five parts, must do so before the end of 2013. If not, they will have to begin again with the new 2014 GED test.
The registration deadline for repeat GED test-takers is Dec. 3 and the last day to take the test is Dec. 17.
The John Jay Center Adult Basic Education/GED program is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. For more information, call Cindy Cash at (260) 729-5525 or email [email protected].
Pumpkin train
The 12th annual Pumpkinliner Family Fall Event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 27, and Sunday, Oct. 28.
The train will leave Whitewater Valley Railroad in Connersville at 10:01 a.m., 12:31 p.m., 2:31 p.m. and 4:31 p.m. each day to travel to the Pumpkin Patch Station. Families will then take a hayride where children, ages 11 and younger, will select a pumpkin and then return to Connersville.
