Longtime Jay County residents the Rev. and Mrs. Kermit Geesaman Sr., 760 N. Meridian St., Pennville, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Sunday, Dec. 7, with an open house at the Pennville American Legion from 2 to 4 p.m.
Kermit married Martha Ellen Cash on Dec. 4, 1948, at Pennville United Methodist Church.
Martha is a retired truck driver and Kermit is a retired farmer and truck driver.
The couple are the parents of five children, Connie Sue Herring, Lawn, Texas; Troy L. Geesaman, Dunkirk; Ralph L. Geesaman, Rome City; Earl L. Geesaman, rural Pennville, and Richard Geesaman, Dallas, Texas. They have 25 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
