Geneva hosting pair of events (08/01/06)
Taking Note
The Limberlost State Historic Site in Geneva will host Lost Crafts of the Limberlost on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The day will begin with Geneva Fire Department officials serving breakfast at 6 a.m. There will be demonstrations from artisans, old-fashioned games and music provided by Fair Wynds.
A car show will be held on Decatur Street from 2 to 5 p.m. and the group NASTALGIA will play from 6 to 10 p.m. in the M&M Grocery parking lot.

Tea party
The sixth annual Limberlost Tea Party will be held at Limberlost Cabin, 200 E. 6th Street in Geneva, on Saturday, Aug. 12, from 1 to 3 p.m.
The tea is held to honor and celebrate the birthday of Indiana author Gene Stratton-Porter, who was born Aug. 17, 1863, near Lagro.
Ladies are encouraged to wear hats from the late Victorian period and a hat contest will be held. There will also be a Victorian fashion show.
