Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Chapman are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary today.
Gerald married Ilene (Gephart) on July 30, 1949, in Bluffton.
Ilene retired from Jay Garment Cafeteria in Portland in 1995 and Gerald retired from the city of Portland in 1995.
The couple are the parents of seven children, Mrs. Dave (Mary) Ward, Fort Wayne; Mrs. Russell (Kathy) Dalrymple, Ridgeville; Dean Chapman, Bryant; Mrs. Jeff (Joyce) Landers, Mrs. David (Bonnie) Pogue, Mrs. Charles (Connie) Pogue and Arthur Chapman, all of Portland. They also have 28 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The couple will celebrate with a family gathering on Sunday.[[In-content Ad]]
