Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Gilbert are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on April 14.
Clyde and Barbara S. Coulson were wed on April 14, 1956, in Portland, by the Rev. Nall.
Barbara retired from Standard Brush and Broom after 12 years and Clyde retired from New Idea in 1990 after 37 years of service.
They have seven surviving children, Tracy Teeter, Holly Sullivan, and Penny Hardwick, all of Portland, Rex Gilbert, Wapakoneta, Ohio, Max and Clyde Eric Gilbert, both of Fort Recovery, and Todd Gilbert, Tilton, N.H. They also have 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The couple will celebrate with an open house on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. at their home at 8857 East Ind. 26 in Portland. They request that gifts be omitted.[[In-content Ad]]
