Don and Deanna Gillespie, 134 E. Third St., Portland, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today.
Don and the former Deanna Hudson were married on Aug. 28, 1960, at Asbury United Methodist Church with the Rev. Virgil Bjork officiating.
Deanna retired from Jay School Corporation as a secretary and Don retired as advertising manager of The Commercial Review.
They are the parents of Dr. Todd A. Gillespie, Indianapolis, Donald Gillespie, Portland, and Michael Gillespie, Zionsville. They also have four grandchildren.
The couple will celebrate with a dinner at Bearcreek Farms for family and members of their wedding party and are also planning a trip later in the fall.[[In-content Ad]]
