Grisham coming to Arts Place (11/13/07)

Dr. Vaughn Grisham will speak at Arts Place on Wednesday at 7 p.m. He will provide information about The Portland Foundation's Community Endowment Building project.
Six Jay County communities have been given the opportunity to establish endowments, with matching funds from The Portland Foundation, to benefit and support activities in each area.
Grisham, an authority on community development, is professor of sociology and director of the McLean Institute at University of Mississippi.
The event is free.
Free internet
Jay County Public Library is offering free wireless internet access to anyone who brings a laptop or other wireless device to the library.
Library card holders 18 and older who are already signed up for internet service may use their card numbers and PINs and others may receive a one day guest pass.
Those ages 12 to 17 must have a parent or guardian sign for them to use the internet and anyone 12 or younger must be accompanied by an adult.
