Dickie D. and Jacqueline S. Haffner will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Bryant Community Center.
Dick married Jacqueline S. Carty on March 21, 1957, in Hollysprings, Miss.
Jackie was a guidance counselor at Coldwater High School in Coldwater, Ohio; was a food sponsor for licensed day care homes under the U.S.D.A. and secretary for the Indiana Ostrich Association.
Dick is a retired farmer; worked at 3-M in Hartford City for 16 years and is currently employed with Wells Fargo as a RCIS crop adjuster.
They are the parents of Kathy Haffner, Indianapolis; Jeff Haffner, Portland; Mike Haffner, Ridgeville; and Mrs. Mark (Brenda) Reitz, Greenville, Ohio. They have eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
