Hampsons celebrate 60th
Reg and Nelle Hampson, Portland, are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary today.
They were married on Oct. 18, 1952, at Asbury United Methodist Church in Portland.
Nelle retired from the Jay School Corporation in 1993 after 30 years of service and Reg retired from Portland Forge in 1985 after 29 years of service.
They are the parents of Bill Hampson (wife: Lynn), and Lee Hampson.
An open house, hosted by their children, will be held Saturday, Oct. 27, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Portland Elks Club to celebrate their anniversary and Reg’s 90th birthday. He was born in Portland on Nov. 2, 1922.
