Lew and Vera Heffner, 776 S. Joan Dr., Portland, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 27.
Lew married Vera Riedel on May 27, 1961, at the First Presbyterian Church in Portland with Pastor Robert B. Clark officiating.
Vera works part time for Bearcreek Farms and Lew retired as vice president of sales at Portland Forge.
They are the parents of Carolyn Tilford (husband: Trent), Bloomington, Sandra Aich (husband: Jim), Corydon, and Jessica Chapala (husband: Matt), Indianapolis. They have seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
